The kittens are busy exploring their new home. As always, it is the girl who is the boldest. She comes running up for her cuddles.
We are pleased that GRCH Mabalakat Menemsha-Bay is definitely pregnant. As a daughter of George and Poppy, she is related to both of our studs, so has been out to visit an extremely handsome brown tabby and white male. Ch. Julescoon Paddington Bear, owned by our friends Jo and James Hastings of Lucifern Maine Coons. Kittens are due around 26th April. We will post details on here when they arrive.
Likely babies will be Red tabby and white (males); Brown tabby and white (both sexes); Tortie tabby and white (females). It is very unlikely we will have dilute (blue/cream) or solid in this litter.
These four continue to grow like weeds, and are piling on weight – no wonder Izzy is looking so slender! All are now optioned (people have first refusal). If the status of any change, it will be noted on here.
Totally forgot to do photos but had an enjoyable day out with some good results. Poppy (GRCH Coonberry Daddys Girl) was awarded TWO Imperial certificates and Best of Breed in both shows. Her son, Walter (GRCH Mabalakat Walter White) wasnt quite so lucky, with one Reserve Imperial certificate, and Best of Breed in both shows. We also took our two new babies, who are really very young,as yet, at 4 and 5 months but both did well and came 2nd to much older girls, so we were pleased with them, too and look forward to showing them at future shows.
It looks like the new boys havent quite got the hang of things yet, Glori doesnt look to be pregnant, and the jury is still out on Tally, but it is seeming unlikely. However, Menemsha, the boys’ sister has been out to visit a handsome brown tabby with white boy, and we are pleased to say that it is looking like we may well be expecting our next litter around 25-27th April. Colours expected are brown tabby males and females; red tabby males; tortie tabby females. We will of course, update if either the others looks to be pregnant after all.
Not easy to get good photos at this age. Mum is being very protective still, but we have tried!
