We are super excited to say that Jazz definitely looks to be pregnant. Her kittens will be expected around 1st/2nd January, so new year babies. The boy she visited is a huge and beautiful silver classic tabby with white imported boy belonging to a good friend of ours. He carries both solid and dilute, whilst we know that Jazz carries solid, but are not sure if she also carries dilute, so the kittens should be from a wide range of colours.
Images of Gus (Mymains Malfurion Stormrage) are now included below. He is a fabulously boned silver classic tabby and white boy from the USA, and belonging to Jackie Huddleston (Jakatta Maine Coons).
Likely are: Boys – red tabby, red silver tabby, red smoke, red shaded, red solid. Black, brown tabby, silver tabby, black smoke.
Girls – Black, brown tabby, silver tabby, black smoke, tortie tabby, tortie, tortie silver tabby, black smoke, tortie smoke.
All kittens will likely be with white. If Jazz DOES carry the dilute gene, which she may well do, then we could get the dilute variations of any of the above as well….. this is a litter we shall be watching with huge interest.
Both cats are HCM gene negative, and in addition, he has been tested clear of both PKDef and SMA.
Jazz will, of course, be away from the show bench until her kittens are grown and left home, and she is fully recovered, so she will be resuming her chase of Imperial certificates later in 2019, but her brother Satchmo will continue to represent our prefix, along with our two up and coming youngsters, Penny and Peggy.
