We took two cats for their first attempts today – Satchmo at the Olympian class, where he was up against the very best of every other breed, and he was placed fourth out of ten, which at only 21 months is pretty good going and we were really pleased. He was also awarded Best of Breed, and a first and third in large side classes.
Peggy at just over 9 months was in the adult class for the first time, and was beaten by a beautiful import tortie, who was much more mature, but held her own in second place, again, we were very pleased with her, and with her first and second placings in her side classes. We are hoping she will do very well indeed as she grows up.
Poppy has five kittens. One girl, and four boys. It is a little early to decide which of the boys are smokes for certain, so colours may change. The girl is under assessment and not available at present.
As always, people expressing an interest will be noted, and those already on our kitten list will be given preference. If interested, please do contact via email in the first instance.
Just a quick update. Last night, Poppy gave birth to 6 babies. 5 boys, one girl. The girl is a brightly coloured solid tortie and white, the boys are mostly black and white, some look to be black smoke and white, and one tabby – but too soon to tell if silver or brown.
The girl in this litter, and the one in Lalique’s are both under assessment for now. Anyone interested in any of the boys should contact by email in the first place. Preference will be given to those already on our waiting list for options.
On Friday, 5th April, Lalique gave birth to 7 kittens. They were a little early, and it was a bit touch and go for a few days, but all are now doing well enough to let the world know they are here.
We arent yet quite sure of the sexes of the reds, but believe that there is one red tabby with white girl, and two boys. The brown tabbies with white are all boys, and there is also a tortie tabby with white girl.
Most of Jazz’s kittens have now left us for their last homes. The last chap goes on his travels to Jersey this coming weekend.
Lalique took us by surprise, and had her kittens a little early – 7 of them! They were born on Friday 5th so are now a week old. We don’t intend to start noting interest just yet, as at this stage, and being a little early, they are still very fragile (though quickly gaining weight). Once we know for sure what we have, and that all are doing well, we will post details and photos. (Most likely next weekend). People already on our kitten list will of course, be given preference, but don’t forget to let us know of your interest. Poppy doesnt look to be carrying many kittens, and she is due next week, so we will also list hers once we know more.
