Totally forgot to do photos but had an enjoyable day out with some good results. Poppy (GRCH Coonberry Daddys Girl) was awarded TWO Imperial certificates and Best of Breed in both shows. Her son, Walter (GRCH Mabalakat Walter White) wasnt quite so lucky, with one Reserve Imperial certificate, and Best of Breed in both shows. We also took our two new babies, who are really very young,as yet, at 4 and 5 months but both did well and came 2nd to much older girls, so we were pleased with them, too and look forward to showing them at future shows.
It looks like the new boys havent quite got the hang of things yet, Glori doesnt look to be pregnant, and the jury is still out on Tally, but it is seeming unlikely. However, Menemsha, the boys’ sister has been out to visit a handsome brown tabby with white boy, and we are pleased to say that it is looking like we may well be expecting our next litter around 25-27th April. Colours expected are brown tabby males and females; red tabby males; tortie tabby females. We will of course, update if either the others looks to be pregnant after all.
Not easy to get good photos at this age. Mum is being very protective still, but we have tried!
Too soon for photos or even to be sure of them all, but early this morning Izzy gave birth to four kittens. Two black and white males, one high white, the other minimal white. Two red tabby with white – one is female, the other as yet unknown, could be either sex.
Photos will follow later.
All of our kittens (see below) have now gone to live with their new owners, and hopefully, we will have some lovely photos to share on here later as they settle in. Our next litter is Izzy (Northern Lights) to George (City-Slicker) around Feb 26th. Reds, brown tabbies, black, tortie kittens expected.
Following that, we have just mated Tally to Jesse, and Glori to Walter so some interesting kittens hopefully expected in April. Too early to confirm the pregnancies as yet, but from Jesse and Tally we hope for black and blue smokes and solids, and tortie smokes and solids. Possibly red smoke or solid boys. All with white. From Walter and Glori we may get as above, but with the addition of tabbies too – so possibly silver tabbies, silver tortie tabbys, brown and red tabbies…..
Watch this space!
Well, the first vaccinations last week certainly didnt slow this lot down! All of these are now (at least provisionally) booked. Our next litter is due around 26th February, and we will post news on here when we have it.
Well, the new year has started off brilliantly for us. We took Poppy and two of her youngsters, Walter and Menemsha, out for this lovely friendly show. All three came home with excellent results. Poppy and Walter each achieved one IMPERIAL certificate and one RESERVE IMPERIAL certificate. Poppy had one Best of Breed, and was beaten to the other by her daughter! Walter had two Best of Breeds. Menemsha had one GRAND certificate and one RESERVE GRAND. She also had one Best of Breed. She came first in all 4 of her side classes too. In the Capital Show she was awarded Best in Show Semi Longhair Adult and we were thrilled when she went on to be overall Best in Show Semi Longhair Cat!
